Μy last trip to Norway during February, 2017.
The Lofoten Archipelago is spread on the northwest side of Norway, very close to the borders of the Arctic Circle. It is a cluster of small fishing villages and is often called “the Foot of the lynx” because of its shape.
The islands are full of legends, maybe because of their natural beauty and their mysterious landscapes, or maybe because there the Sun either never rises or never sets. The only thing you can hear is the thousand voices of birds, the wind and the sound of the sea. That combination of the landscape which comes into view every morning and the sounds of nature is a priceless experience that fills you with energy and inspiration for the whole day, no matter what you have to face.

‘I was born in 1983 in Zakynthos, Greece. My main studies were in engineering, but I also attended lectures at “Focus school of Art Photography” in Athens.
My photographs are not meant to represent reality or specific locales. Instead, they depict my own subjective feelings about nature, its wildness and unpredictability, and the mystery and psychic emanations of places and peoples.”
I have participated in many art exhibitions, both in Greece and abroad. One of them was the APhf 2010, where I received the title “Young Greek Photographer” by the Hellenic Center for Photography. Furthermore, in 2014, my work was exhibited in one of the most prestigious galleries in New York, Agora Gallery.
My photos ”Vesturhorn Iceland” and ”Icelandic Horses” were selected among the 10 best photos of ”Travel and Nature’’ and ‘’ Wildlife’’ categories respectively at Sony World Photography Awards 2016, the biggest competition in the world, with 230.103 entries from 186 countries.
Furthermore I was finalist at Travel Photography Awards 2016 (TPOTY) in the portfolio section “Land Sea Sky” and I am finalist at Siena International Photography Awards 2017.
My timelapse film Whispering Iceland already won several awards in many worldwide festivals such as Laiffa (Los Angeles Independed Film Festival), Hiida (Hollywood International Independend Documentary Awards), Best Shorts Competition, Himpff (Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film FEstival).
